Deepika Padukone, with the trailer of Meghna Gulzar's upcoming film Chhapaak, left us speechless. Loaded with emotions teamed with a riveting tale that will send down a shiver down the spine and also inspire us to the core, Chhapaak stands tall amongst the much-awaited films of 2020. Now, as the film is inching closer to its release, the makers drew the curtains from its title song on Friday. 

Speaking of the song, it sheds light on how Deepika's character Malti loses her morale when she becomes the victim of acid attack. Battling all social odds, Malti emerges as the winner by regaining her confidence and accepting a new self. Arijit Singh has lent his vocals to the song while lyrics are by Gulzar. Shankar-Ehsan-Loy have given the music.

Directed by Meghna, produced by Fox Star Studios, Deepika’s KA Production, Meghna and Govind Singh Sandhu’s Mriga Films, written by Atika Chohan and Meghna Gulzar, Chhapaak is a tale of an acid attack survivor who battles against the social evildoers. The film is scheduled to release on January 10, 2020.
