Ayushmann Khurrana, over the last few years, proved his mettle as an experimental actor. Be it portraying the role of a man who disguises others by modulating his voice like a woman in Dream Girl or a person who suffers from premature balding in Bala, he has done it all and has set the benchmark high. Now, after a super successful 2019, Ayushmann is gearing up to own 2020 too. The actor will begin his year at cinema with the sequel of Shubh Mangal Saavdhan titled Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan. For the unversed, the film revolves around gay love story. Talking about venturing into a new zone, Ayushmann, during an interview with a leading daily, told the timing of the project is perfect as the Supreme Court has legalised same-sex relationships. He then said India is now ready to accept such films.
“The timing couldn’t be more perfect. I believe that India is ready for that character and that kind of cinema. The Supreme Court has legalised same-sex relationships and this is the right time for a love story on the LGBTQ community,” Ayushmann told.
