Post Deepika Padukone's JNU visit, Anurag Kashyap requests people to watch 'Chhapaak'; puts actress' picture as his Twitter display photo

Deepika Padukone on Tuesday reached the Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi to extend solidarity towards the students following Sunday's violence. The actress was spotted standing with the students at the Sabarmati T-point, where a public meeting was called by alumni of JNU over Sunday's violence in the varsity. She also met JNUSU President Aishe Ghosh who was injured in the violence. The meet was also attended by former JNU students like Sitaram Yechury, Kanhaiya Kumar, D. Raja and Yogendra Yadav.

While some termed it as a promotional stint for her upcoming film Chhapaak, the film fraternity supported her act. Now filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, who is known to speak his mind, hailed her decision to visit the JNU protests and even changed his Twitter profile photo and cover picture to one of Deepika's from the protests.
