Saif Ali Khan's, Tabu's and Alaya F's upcoming film Jawaani Jaaneman has garnered the right amount of attention with its quirky trailer that was released on social media platforms on Thursday. The film that showcases Saif slipping into the character of a man in his mid-forties who is nothing but a playboy, while Alaya is his never-seen-before daughter and Tabu is his wife, has managed to pave its way through as one of the highly anticipated projects of this month. While the trailer of the film was released on social media platforms, a special launch event was held in London at Grand Royale London Hyde Park. Well with this, Jawaani Jaaneman became the first Bollywood film to get a trailer launch in the English capital. In attendance at the launch event were Saif and producer Deepshikha Deshmukh.
Talking about Jawaani Jaaneman, Saif said, “A theme emerged that this film is about acceptance, accepting your age, your responsibilities. I think most people who are like that would react like this.” Happy to collaborate with Tabu after a long time, the actor told, “It feels great as she’s an amazing actor. She is immensely talented and compelling to watch onscreen. She’s also extremely funny and such a delight to work with. I’m so grateful that she’s a part of this film.”
Deepshikha further added, “Saif just fits the bill. I think there’s nobody else who could portray the role of jazz better than him. Whenever we make a film, both Jackky and I are mindful of the legacy we have to live up to. Wholesome entertainers are our forte and we can proudly say that Jawaani Jaaneman lives up to it. The trailer response has been stupendous, it’s very encouraging to say the least.”
Jawaani Jaaneman is directed by Nitin Kakkar, presented by Pooja Entertainment in association with Black Knight Films and Northern Lights Films. It is produced by Jackky Bhagnani, Deepshikha, Saif and Jay Shewakramani.
