It's been five years since the handsome Tiger Shroff stepped into Bollywood with Heropanti opposite Kriti Sanon. Since then, fans of the actor and his star father Jackie Shroff are waiting with a bated breath to watch them collaborate on the big screen. Now, listening to this desire of the audience, the makers of Tiger's upcoming film Baaghi 3 have roped in Jackie for an important role opposite the former. Well, yes. Sajid Nadiadwala, the producer of the third installment of the action-thriller franchise, in an interview with a leading daily, told that the Hero actor will be seen in the character of a cop who will play father to Tiger. The veteran producer further told that Jackie's presence matched his as well as the director-Ahmed Khan's vision and said the ace actor's character holds importance to the narrative. Sources close to Baaghi 3 informed the daily that Jackie started shooting for his portion on Monday(January 20) and will complete it by Friday(January 24).
"Everyone has been waiting to see Tiger team up with his ‘Hero’ father Jackie since we launched him. There have been plenty of speculations, but no one has been able to bring them together in the last six years as the duo was categorical that they would only share the screen when a film and role merited their presence. Ahmed and I feel the storyline required Jackie to be a part of the film and our visions matched because it’s a pivotal role,” Sajid told.
Sajid further added that the duo will add to the expectations from Baaghi 3 and will make for the strongest USP of the film that also stars Shraddha Kapoor in the lead role. “The father-son duo coming together will only add to the expectations from Baaghi 3, but I am confident no one will be disappointed by this double dose of the Shroffs. It will be a strong USP of the film,” Sajid added.
The film, apart from Tiger, Shraddha and Jackie, stars Riteish Deshmukh as Tiger's brother while Ankita Lokhande is roped in to play Shraddha's sister. Vijay Varma and Jaideep Ahlawat are also roped in. Baaghi 3 is scheduled for a March 6, 2020 release.
