It's been quite a while since the buzz surrounding Hrithik Roshan-led Krrish 4 has been doing the rounds. With the actor confirming the film being in the works, speculations about the same are making headlines. Now, as per the latest development, Priyanka Chopra Jonas will no longer play the lead female character in Krrish 4, if reports are to be believed. According to a report on an entertainment portal, sources close to the film stated that Deepika Padukone has been roped in to replace the former. Well, in the past couple of months, the rumour of Deepika and Hrithik collaborating has been the spiciest gossip in the tinsel town. From drooling over the Greek God of Bollywood's looks in his recent release War to him feeding a cake to Deepika, the two left us in awe of their camaraderie. Now, it seems the desire to watch the together will be fulfilled soon.
"It is almost certain that Priyanka Chopra Jonas, who played the female lead with Hrithik Roshan in the previous Krrish films, won’t be back in the fourth segment. Hrithik and his father Rakesh Roshan are keen to rope Deepika Padukone in. But the role would have to justify her presence. Only then would she agree to get into the franchise," the source told.
Workwise, Deepika was last seen in Meghna Gulzar's Chhapaak which released on January 10. She will be next seen in Kabir Khan's '83 with her husband Ranveer Singh followed by Shakun Batra's upcoming directorial with Ananya Panday and Siddhant Chaturvedi. Her latest film, the Hindi adaptation of The Intern with Rishi Kapoor was announced a day ago. On the other hand, Hrithik was seen in YRF's War and Super 30. Priyanka after starring in Shonali Bose's The Sky Is Pink in 2019, will now feature in Netflix films namely We Can Be Heroes by Robert Rodriguez and The White Tiger co-starring Rajkummar Rao.
