Deepika Padukone is one of the favourite actresses and celebrities. Be it her films or personal life, the dimpled beauty manages to make headlines for the right reasons. However, recently, Deepika came under the radar for her sudden visit to Jawaharlal Nehru University to extend support to protesting students and teachers post a masked mob attack earlier this year. The 34-year-old actress who was gearing up for the release of Chhapaak, brewed controversy soon after. As a result of this, chants of 'Boycott Chhapaak' did the rounds of social media platforms and made an impact on the overall performance of the Meghna Gulzar directorial.
In addition to this was a drastic drop in the ratings of Chhapaak on IMDb. The film was merely rated 4.6 and gave birth to speculations that hinted at a foul play. Ajay Devgn's Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, which released alongside Chhapaak, has about 8.7 ratings. Addressing Chhapaak being downvoted on IMBd, Deepika, during an interaction with a radio station, gave a rather optimistic reply to the overall scenario. "Unhone meri rating badli hai, mera mann nahi," Deepika said with utmost grace and a beautiful smile on her face.
