The story of Imtiaz Ali's 2009 release, Love Aaj Kal, starring Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone, shuffled between two time zones. The newer version is similar, with Kartik Aaryan and Sara Ali Khan essaying present-day lovers. The film also stars Randeep Hooda and Arushi Sharma in pivotal roles. The trailer of the film was released recently and fans have already started comparing the two projects. Recently, Saif was asked if he watched the film's trailer and what he has to say about it, he told a daily, "I don’t know why I still remember shooting for Love Aaj Kal. I saw the trailer, and obviously, I wish them all the best. I wish Sara the best for everything she does because she is my daughter. I kind of like my film’s trailer more."
Now as part of the film promotions, Sara was asked about her father's reaction, to which she said that she understands where he comes from. “We are all protective and possessive about our work. I am proud that my father, too, is as proud of his creations as I am of mine,” the actress lovingly said, adding, “I come from a family of actors, and where’s there’s privilege, there’s pressure too, and where there’s pressure, there is also fun."
Well, that's certainly one secure father-daughter duo!
While Sara is making waves in the industry with her back to back films, is her brother Ibraham Ali Khan looking to join Bollywood? When asked, Sara signed off by saying, “There is a huge gap between dreams and reality. He is a good actor, but he is also good at sports. Right now, he has to complete his education; it’s non-negotiable. Then, he can do whatever he wants to.”
Love Aaj Kal releases on Valentine's Day, February 14.
