Anushka Sharma is unarguably one of the best actresses in Bollywood today. Be it romantic or thriller, horror or comedy, she has aced it all with finesse. While Anushka has been making headlines on the personal front but is missing from the silver screen for a year. The 31-year-old actress who was last seen in Zero, hasn't yet made an official announcement about her acting next. Talking about the reason behind taking a long break from films, Anushka, during an interview with a magazine, told that her schedule was getting hectic as she was working on multiple films together. Saying she was on 'autopilot' mode, the actress added that she didn't make healthy choices and never got time to grow apart from creative opportunities. She said she lived little outside film sets.
"I was on autopilot, and it got exhausting. There was a period when I was shooting two films simultaneously. I made choices that weren't necessarily healthy. I needed to try other things, things that didn't fit into the schedule that I had found myself getting accustomed to for such a long time. There's never a good time to step away from creative opportunities, but I needed to grow and I needed to challenge myself differently to figure out, I don't know, a purpose, and live a little outside of the movie sets and promotional tours, and dresses and heels, and have authentic exchanges with people," Anushka told.
Anushka, who married cricketer Virat Kohli in 2017, went on to add that she prioritised slowing down and tried new things including her own clothing brand, Nush. "I also prioritised slowing down and working on building a life for myself. I worked in a different capacity – I tried to create some things, produce some things, build my clothing brand. I'm a curious individual. I'm not eager for acquisition. I don't have a fantasy about arriving somewhere. I challenge myself to grow with the experiences I take on. I always want to do better," Anushka added.
Anushka, with pictures serving as the sole proof, is busy with the biopic of Jhulan Goswami, reportedly titled Chakdah Express. The actress was in Kolkata to shoot for the same and pictures from Eden Gardens stadium went viral on social media platforms. Anushka is yet to make a formal announcement.
