It won't be wrong to say that Kartik Aaryan is one of the most loved actors in Bollywood. With back-to-back blockbusters, the young actor has managed to carve a niche for himself. Now, as he is gearing up for the release of Love Aaj Kal co-starring Sara Ali Khan, the 29-year-old Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety star has been keeping busy with hectic interview schedules. During one such interview with Sara, Kartik invited flak for his comment on his films being compared to those Ayushmann Khurrana does. Kartik said that Ayushmann's films deal with defects that men have while in his projects, the women do.
"It often happens that Ayushmann does films about men with defects while I do films about women with defects," Kartik told.
As soon as Kartik made the statement, Sara who was seated next to him, seemed to be in disagreement with his statement while the rest of them were amused. Not just Sara, but Twitter too didn't accept his comment which was made on a lighter note. Moments after his statement went viral, Twitter users criticised Kartik. One of the users said he is 'the only person with all the defects' while the other tagged his as 'misogyny ka brand ambassador'.

Trash men like him show us the gross reality because of the undeserved confidence they draw from their male privilege and upper class entitlement that most of the others indulge in in whispers - Our world is full of transphobes and misogynists.

first of all let me digest the fact that you're comparing yourself with Ayushmann

Well, this isn't the first time when Kartik faced backlash for his films and statements. Recently, a dialogue from his project Pati, Patni Aur Woh which revolved around marital rape came under the radar. However, the actor and the makers apologised for the same and edited it from the film.
