After delivering impressive and powerful performances in most of her films, Vidya Balan is once again gearing up for another stellar role. She will soon be seen in Amit Masurkar’s upcoming film Sherni. The makers of the film, T-Series and Abundantia Entertainment took to social media to announce about the film which is written by Aastha Tiku.
Vidya shared the film’s announcement on social media with the words, “Thrilled to announce my next film - #SHERNI ... Cannot wait to start shoot! Directed by: #AmitMasurkar Produced by: @BhushanKumar @ivikramix #KrishanKumar & #AmitMasurkar Written by: @aasthatiku.”
As per reports, the film will go on floors in the next two months and is based on the slain tigress Avni. Vidya is reportedly playing the role of a forest official in the film. For the unversed, tigress Avni, also known as T1, had made headlines in November 2018 when she was shot dead in Maharashtra’s Yavatmal district. Her death caused national outrage in many parts of the country.
The Supreme Court had directed the forest officials to tranquilize the tigress and then trap her but they shot Avni, when she allegedly attacked the team.
