Ram Gopal Varma strikes again, to make film on the infamous rape and murder case of a veterinary doctor in Hyderabad

Priyanka Reddy, a Hyderabad vet, was brutally murdered after she was allegedly gangraped by a group of men. She was burnt alive after being raped. The horrific incident came to light in November last year and had sent shock waves throughout the country over the dastardly act. Many actors, politicians, sportsperson and netizens have come forward condemning the gruesome and heinous crime and have demanded justice and strict punishment for the perpetrators. However, a few days later, the accused—Mohammed Arif, Naveen, Shiva, and Chennakeshavulu—were killed in a police encounter.

Now we hear that Ram Gopal Varma is keen to make a film on the infamous rape and murder case. According to a report in a leading daily, RGV, on Monday met Sahamshabad Additional Commissioner of Police as a part of the research for his upcoming film. “This incident rocked the entire nation and as a part of an exercise to do scripting of the film, I’m trying to collect some research on various experiences, to know how the actual things happened,” the filmmaker told the daily.

Looks like RGV is all set to strike again!

Coming back to the case, the court last week ordered setting up of a three-member inquiry commission to probe the encounter case.
