The recently released thriller titled Malang has proven to be a winner with the audience and critics alike. The film star Disha Patani and Aditya Roy Kapur in the central roles and is set against the backdrop of Goa wherein the lead actors fall in love and what follows next results in a thrilling climax. Now as Malang crossed the Rs.50 crore mark at the box-office, its director Mohit Suri has a piece of good news for the film's fans. Mohit, in an interview with a leading daily, told that Malang's sequel is on the cards and it will be announced when things fall in place.
"Sequel to Malang is definitely on the cards but I cannot confirm at the moment," Mohit told during the interview with the leading daily.
For the unversed, Malang reunites Aditya with Mohit after Aashiqui 2 in 2013. The director also teamed with Kunal for the first time after Kalyug in 2005.
Malang, apart from Disha and Aditya, stars Anil Kapoor and Kunal Kemmu as police. Elli AvrRam and Amruta Khanvilkar also make appearances in the film. Directed by Mohit Suri, Malang is co-produced by Bhushan Kumar of T-Series, Luv Ranjan Films and Northern Lights Entertainment's Jay Shewakraman and released on February 7, 2020.
