Watch: Priyanka Chopra Jonas remembers late Wendell Rodricks, says 'he will forever be missed'

The untimely death of ace fashion designer Wendell Rodricks on the evening of February 12, 2020, in Goa, came across as a major shock to the showbiz industry. Aged 59, Wendell, as per reports, died in his sleep due to heart attack. Soon after the news broke out, celebrities sent out their condolences to the family on social media and mourned the loss of a visionary who was much more than just a pioneer of fashion in India. Joining the Bollywood brigade to pay homage, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, at the Blenders Pride Fashion Tour 2020, said that Wendell will be forever missed. In the recent past, Wendell slammed Priyanka for her Grammys 2020 outfit and the post he shared on Instagram had the caption that read 'neckline goes all the way from LA to Cuba'. 

"It's only apt on a night like this in the presence of so many luminaries from the Indian fashion industry that we remember Wendell Rodricks. He was a pioneer, he was a visionary of Indian fashion and he will always and forever be missed," Priyanka told during her speech.

With respect to the comment Wendell made on Priyanka's choice of outfit for Grammys, Suchitra Krishnamoorthi took a sharp dig on him. Post his untimely death, Priyanka's mother, Dr. Madhu Chopra, in an interview, told that the family holds no grudges against him and disagreements are normal.
