Rohit Shetty's latest cop drama Sooryavanshi has a new release date. It will now hit the theatres on March 24, it was announced through a quirky video featuring the films hero Akshay Kumar along with Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh, the two other onscreen uniformed heroes of Shettys supercop universe. Now we hear that numerologist Sanjay B Jumaani has suggested Rohit to release the Akshay starrer at 6 pm on March 24. Well,
For those caught unaware, it was Jumaani only who recommended the spelling of the film to Rohit and advised him to release it a day prior to its original release, which was March 25. In fact, he was also the one who prompted Sanjay Leela Bhansali to release his most talked about magnum opus, Padmaavat, on date 24th (Wednesday). Well, rather than the usual Friday releases, several films have benefitted from hitting the screens on a Tuesday or Wednesday.
What's more? The Akshay and Katrina Kaif starrer is the first ever Bollywood film to run 24/7 in theatres with effect from March 24. Keeping the festive mood in mind, Rohit and team want to cash in on the Maharashtra government's declaration that multiplexes, eateries and shops in malls can stay open 24x7 from now on, following an initiative by the Cabinet Minister of Tourism and Environment Government of Maharashtra, Aaditya Thackeray (notice the double 'a'?). Jumaani also said that nothing will take away the hard work and tons of sleepless hours the whole team has put in. The efforts shall definitely pay off.
Not to miss, the franchise apart from Salman's Suryavanshi is its unique numerological alteration. "With a double 'o', it was brought on the same number as Golmaal Again and Simmba. While Rohit Shetty's upcoming film Seven is a readymade title, we didn't favour any changes," he revealed. Looks like, "Jab Tak Sooraj Chaand Rahega, Tab Tak Suryavanshi, Oops. Sooryavanshi Ka Naam Rahega!"
