'Do some homework,' says Raveena Tandon as she schools a news channel for calling 'namaste' a 'prayer-like-gesture'

The nation is currently battling the outburst of a pandemic named Coronavirus. The virus first came into knowledge after China and its neighbouring countries got affected and soon, Coronavirus aka COVID-19 has gripped the whole world into its trap. While medical facilities are being multiplied each day, citizens are advised to not visit crowded places. Owing to this, the people of the country have devised a desi manner to keep it at bay by greeting others with a polite namaste instead of a handshake. Not just Indians, but people across the globe are following this including the United Kingdom's Prince Charles.

In a video shared by a leading international news channel, we can see the Prince do a namaste and not shake hands. However, the gesture was appreciated by all, but the term used for our namaste by the channel didn't go down well with Raveena Tandon. The channel wrote a 'prayer-like gesture' for the namaste and Raveena decided to teach them the correct term. "Prince Charles offered a handshake before quickly changing his mind and instead, greeting guests at the Prince’s Trust Awards with a prayer-like gesture to avoid contact amid coronavirus concern," the channel wrote in their tweet. "It’s a “Namaste”. Do some homework @ABC," Raveena replied.
