Lived the last two decades by detaching myself from social media's 'false haze': Kareena Kapoor Khan

Love her or hate her, you just can't ignore Kareena Kapoor Khan. A true diva in all sense, the actress is a dream for top filmmakers. As Kareena completes two decades in cinema, she is indeed a favourite and there ain't a denial. With the title of diva and a bankable star, the actress refuses to slow down and given the competition in the industry, her stardom is unfaded. Talking about her 20-year-long career during an interview, Kareena told that she reinvented herself. She further added that social media pressure can boost a celebrity's ego and mentioned that she remained detached from its false haze until now. For the unversed, Kareena made her Instagram debut on March 6 and has 1.8 million followers.

"I am aware of the industry dynamics, and have adequately reinvented myself. People who don't have their head on their shoulders can't stand the pressures. Here, people around constantly boost your ego; having 40 million followers on Instagram and earning heaps of praise can create a false haze. But I have lived the last two decades by detaching myself. It's an art that I have mastered over the years," Kareena told.

Kareena further thanked her husband Saif Ali Khan for showing her the 'bigger picture'. "As actors, we meet the same people, talk about which film is being made, which brand endorsement you missed, which director you want to meet for the next big role. This loop gets toxic. For me, reinvention is getting the big picture right and that is achieved by knowing more about the world. I have had the privilege of taking a step back, travelling, reading, and meeting people who have nothing to do with this world. I owe that to Saif," Kareena added.

Workwise, Kareena is seen in the role of a cop named Naina in Irrfan starrer Angrezi Medium. The film which is a sequel to the 2017 hit film Hindi Medium is directed by Homi Adajania and produced by Dinesh Vijan. It also stars Radhika Madan and released on March 13, 2020. Apart from that, she stars in Aamir Khan's Laal Singh Chaddha and Karan Johar's Christmas 2021 release Takht.
