Watch: 'Say yes to social distancing,' urges Akshay Kumar after Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray announces shutdown due to COVID-19

Many A-list actors from Bollywood recently got together to talk about COVID-19, and how to keep yourself and the country safe. As part of the Maharashtra Government's initiative, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray shared their on his social media, appealing everyone to be safe during these trying times.

Now, Akshay Kumar, who was also a part of that video, has released another video on his personal Twitter account where he is urging people to take our country's current situation seriously. The actor not only explains the meaning of home quarantine in the video but also request everyone to stay at home and stay safe. The actor captioned the 2 minutes 24 seconds video as, "For the first time in life, the winner will be the one who will stay put! This is a race, one which will save us...Say yes to #SocialDistancing please #BreakCorona #TogetherAtHome @mybmc"

In the wake of the pandemic, Thackeray recently announced lockdown of all non-essential shops and offices in Mumbai, MMR region, Pune, Pimpri Chinchwad, and Nagpur on Friday. He further added all offices will have to work from home, and if that is not possible then they will have to shut their offices.
