One of Bollywood's reputed and biggest production house, Yash Raj Films, will be celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. With the production house responsible for launching and giving masterpieces to some of the best actors like Ranveer Singh, Shah Rukh Khan, Sridevi, Madhuri Dixit and Deepika Padukone to name a few, turning 50, it is indeed a special moment. Now, as the day is inching closer, the team at Yash Raj Films is planning a special surprise for its ardent fans by roping in the best for their upcoming projects. Aditya Chopra, the son of the founder and late filmmaker Yash Chopra, as per reports, is planning to lock the slate by April. For the announcement, Aditya has reportedly brought together Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif, Ranveer Singh, Hrithik Roshan and others.
According to sources close to the development, the actors have recorded special messages for the studio and also shared their experience of working with late Mr. Chopra. Not just this, they will also be announcing their respective films with the production house. Titled Project 50, the plan is likely to be out in April. “The announcements aside, they have also got the actors on board for an exclusive interview. Right from Salman to SRK and Hrithik to Katrina and Deepika, have special messages recorded for the studio talking about their experience of working with them, remembering the studio pioneer Yash Chopra and as also talking about their next fruitful association,” the source informed.
The source further informed that Salman will be announcing the third part of the Tiger series while Shah Rukh has given his nod to Siddharth Anand’s next action entertainer which is said to go on floors this year. “These two are massive big-budget action films, and Adi Chopra is leaving no stone unturned to make these the biggest films for the two superstars,” the source added. The source also told that Aditya was keen on roping in Aamir Khan for a film but due to a choc-a-block schedule, he had to give it a miss. "He was reluctant to sign on for a film as his calendar is already occupied, however, he has already done a promo shoot for YRF,” the source told.
Deepika is also in talks with the production house for a film that is kept under the wraps for now. Katrina will be reprising her role as Zoya in the Tiger franchise.
