The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, in a special message for the citizens on March 19, called for Janta Curfew today (March 22) to fight against the deadly and rapidly spreading Coronavirus. Coronavirus aka COVID-19 that came into knowledge after it impacted China and its neighbouring countries, has been titled as a pandemic by the World Health Organisation. With India also affected, the Government requested people to stay at home safe as the next 10-15 days are extremely crucial. Soon after Mr. Modi announced Janta Curfew, Bollywood celebrities extended their support to him and the initiative.
Now, as the Janta Curfew has been receiving a tremendous response from the citizens of the nation, celebrities have been sharing videos and pictures from the balcony, showing how beautiful and peaceful the city is currently. Anupam Kher, on his Twitter account, shared a video of how his surrounding looks. He also requested his followers to post pictures or videos of how their city or locality is with the Janta Curfew going on. He told them to use the hashtag 'Anupam See My City' while sharing.
Silence has never been so audible as it is today. I have never heard birds so beautifully chirping outside my house. The world will finally change for the better. After today, I am sure of that. :) pic.twitter.com/e42dPnR5y7

On the other hand, Amitabh Bachchan shared a video of how Mumbai's most crowded and polluted area, Marine Drive looked this morning. The locality that is bustling with vehicular noise, was pitch silent and a vision to behold. "Marine Drive, Mumbai this morning .. this is what National discipline means .. JAI HIND !!" Amitabh wrote.
Well, with the Janta Curfew extended till tomorrow morning, the fear surrounding Coronavirus continues its tight grip on Mumbaikars.
