Janta Curfew: Kiara Advani, Janhvi Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal cheer for essential services authorities; Kartik Aaryan finds an innovative way

The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, in a special message for the citizens on March 19, called for Janta Curfew today (March 22) to fight against the deadly and rapidly spreading Coronavirus. Coronavirus aka COVID-19 that came into knowledge after it impacted China and its neighbouring countries, has been titled as a pandemic by the World Health Organisation. With India also affected, the Government requested people to stay at home safe as the next 10-15 days are extremely crucial. Soon after Mr. Modi announced Janta Curfew, Bollywood celebrities extended their support to him and the initiative.

Mr. Modi, under the initiative of Janta Curfew, asked the citizens to clap, blow a conch shell or use utensils to make noise as an ode to those who have been working tirelessly for the safety of the city. As the clock struck 5 pm, as instructed, Bollywood along with others, came out in their balconies to thank the authorities. Kiara Advani stepped out in her balcony to cheer for them. She was seen with her father.

Vicky Kaushal along with his parents and brother Sunny Kaushal clapped from his balcony too.

Janhvi Kapoor with her father Boney Kapoor also expressed gratitude.

Kartik Aaryan found a fancy way to thank the officials on duty. "It’s DIVINE. It’s MAGIC. With everyone coming together, the ENERGY is through the roof!! We all Salute the Selfless Heroes !!  Thank you @narendramodi sir for bringing the country together in this way!!" Kartik wrote on his Instagram
