Watch: Akshay Kumar scolds Indian citizens for not taking self-isolation seriously, ask them not to ‘play hero’ amid Coronavirus Outbreak

The world has actually stopped because of the Coronavirus outbreak. People have been asked to not venture out of their homes and self-isolation and self-quarantine are words that have taken precedence in our vocabulary. Although the Indian Government has issued guidelines to people to stay at home and lockdown is in place in several states including airlines and railways, many people are still out on the streets.

Today, Akshay Kumar who was one of the first celebrities to applaud and support Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s announcement of Junta Curfew on March 22, shared a video on social media in which he asked people to not roam on the streets and take the lockdown very seriously. He laid emphasis on the fact that the novel Coronavirus is extremely deadly and has got the entire world on its knees. He asked people to not ‘play hero’ and save themselves as well as their families by staying indoors. Watch the video below:

In the video, Akshay tells people that he performs daredevil stunts in his films but even he is scared of the pandemic and is staying put in his home. The Coronavirus outbreak is one of the most widespread infections of recent times and several people have lost their lives succumbing to COVID-19, the disease caused by it.

Hopefully, after watching Akshay’s video people will take heed to social distancing and self-isolation and not come out in the open.
