The alarming spread of the deadly Coronavirus aka COVID-19 has enabled major states in India to implement a complete lockdown. With the number of infected increasing rapidly, shoots of web series, television shows and films all across the nation have been cancelled until further notice. This shutdown has burnt a hole in the pockets of daily wage employees and the production team. Celebrities are leaving no stone unturned to extend financial help by contributing to the relief fund set up by the Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi. After Akshay Kumar, Varun Dhawan, Salman Khan and many others, a few more names from Bollywood have joined the list.
Bhushan Kumar, soon after Akshay's announcement, informed through his Twitter account about this Rs. 1 crore donation to Maharashtra Chief Minister’s relief fund. "In this hour of need, I pledge to donate Rs. 1 crore to the CM’s relief fund along with my family at @Tseries Hope we all get through this difficult time soon. Stay home, stay safe," Bhushan wrote in his tweet.

Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, without unveiling the amount of contribution, pledged to support those in need of financial support. The actress assured that she will monetarily assist by donating to Maharashtra Chief Minister’s relief fund. "This is an excellent initiative. And I will be donating," Sonam wrote in her tweet.

Rajkummar Rao, yesterday, announced to do his bit for the nation by extending financial help to these in need. The actor, without revealing the amount, donated to the Prime Minister as well as Chief Minister set up relief fund. Rajkummar, soon after the announcement, won hearts for not disclosing the amount of donation. "It’s time to stand together & to help our administration in this fight against Coronavirus. Ayushmann Khurrana was also a part of the Bollywood brigade who extended support. The actor, on Twitter, pledged to donate to PM-CARES Fund. "I’m pledging my support to this noble initiative by PM @narendramodiji. As a nation, we should all look to contribute to the PM-CARES Fund in the best of our capacity. It will help our nation to support our fellow citizens in distress," Ayushmann wrote in his tweet

Shilpa Shetty and her businessman husband Raj Kundra decided to contribute Rs. 21 lacs to PM Modi's PM-CARES Fund. The actress, on her Twitter account, informed and encouraged people to do their bit for those in need. "For humanity, our country, & fellow citizens that need us; now is the time, let’s do our bit. @TheRajKundra & I pledge 21 lacs to @narendramodi ji‘s PM-CARES Fund. Every drop in the ocean counts, so I urge you all to help fight this situation," Shilpa wrote.
