After Akshay Kumar, Bhushan Kumar, Varun Dhawan, Shilpa Shetty, Diljit Dosanjh, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma and many others pledged a generous donation to PM CARES Fund amid the Coronavirus outbreak, Katrina Kaif has also followed suit.
The actress has announced a contribution to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s relief fund and Maharashtra Chief Minister’s relief fund to combat the loss of livelihood and economic depression that the country is facing due to Coronavirus lockdown. She announced her contribution on social media today and wrote, “I pledge to donate to the PM CARES fund and the Chief Minister's Relief Fund Maharashtra. Heartbreaking to see the hardship and suffering this pandemic has unleashed in the world.”
The Coronavirus pandemic has brought the entire world to a standstill with numerous fatalities across. However, the Indian government is fighting tooth-and-nail to curtail the infection and report a minimum number of cases. For this, the Prime Minister had announced a one-day Junta Curfew on March 22 and later extended the period to a 21-day lockdown which was applauded by celebs as well as WHO.
Katrina has been heartily applauding the efforts and even shared some quirky videos of doing household chores and workout videos during self-isolation and self-quarantine.
