Is Hrithik Roshan the top contender for the lead role in BR Chopra's 'The Burning Train' remake?

On March 11, producers Jackky Bhagnani and Juno Chopra announced the remake of one of Bollywood's landmark film, The Burning Train. Directed by the latter's father Ravi Chopra and produced by his grandfather BR Chopra, the remake had people excited. While Jackky and Juno left the announcement on the note that the cast will be finalised soon, it seems, they have now approached Hrithik Roshan for one of the lead roles. Well, yes. According to the report of an entertainment magazine, the makers are keen on casting the Super 30 star for the remake. Owing to the sudden lockdown due to Coronavirus, the project is currently on hold and will resume with a meeting with Hrithik once the situation is normal.

“Juno and Jackky have decided to approach Hrithik Roshan for the remake. They are keen to have him on board as they feel that he will take this film to another level. The film's planning was in full progress but due to the corona pandemic, the project is now on a standstill. As soon as the lockdown is removed, the producers will have a meeting with Hrithik Roshan,” a source close to the development told the magazine.
