The Prime Minister of India, Mr. Narendra Modi, on Friday, addressed his countrymen with respect to the alarming spread of the novel COVID-19. The rapid growth of the virus has confined the citizens to their homes and has become a cause of panic and worry. To ease the stressful situation and to show unity as a country, Mr. Modi urged people to step out in their respective balconies and light a candle, diya or flash a torchlight. Extending support to this initiative, Bollywood showed in large numbers.
The Bachchan family- Amitabh, Abhishek, Aishwarya, Aaradhya, Shweta and Jaya expressed their gratitude towards those working for the city's safety and smooth functioning. Amitabh, at his residence, showed unity by flashing Alexa as daughter Shweta clicked his picture.
Abhishek and Aishwarya, with their daughter Aaradhya, placed a diya in the temple inside the house.
