Watch: Sidharth Malhotra-Tara Sutaria give Sonam Kapoor Ahuja's-Abhishek Bachchan's Masakali a steamy twist in its recreated version

Sidharth Malhotra and Tara Sutaria, after showcasing their fabulous chemistry in Milap Zaveri's Marjaavaan last year, teamed up for yet another project. Well, it isn't a film but a music album titled Masakali 2.0. As the title suggests, it is the recreated version of 2009's Delhi-6 starring Sonam Kapoor Ahuja and Abhishek Bachchan's iconic track of the same name. Ace producer Bhushan Kumar, 11 years after its release, gave it a modern spin by roping in Sidharth and Tara. Masakali 2.0 is recreated by Tanishk Bagchi and has vocals of Tulsi Kumar and Sachet Tandon. It is directed by Adil Shaikh.

Talking about Masakali 2.0, it revolves around a young pair who sneak into a hotel room without the permission of those residing in there. Soon, on seeing an empty room, Sidharth and Tara break into a romantic dance. Stealing away some moments, they step into the bathtub, giving the fun song a steamy touch. Well, the makers have surely added certain elements that put forth a different side to the song.

Masakali was originally sung by Mohit Chauhan and was composed by AR Rahman. Revolving around a pigeon and Sonam, the song attained a cult status and was an instant blockbuster. Whether Masakali 2.0 will garner the same response or not, remains to be an interesting watch.
