It won't be wrong to say that Salman Khan's and Bhagyashree's Maine Pyar Kiya is an iconic film that is etched deep in the memories of the audience. Be it the songs or the intensity of romance, it was just perfect. However, in case the Sooraj Barjatya directorial is remade in today's time, certain changes are bound to happen and Salman showed how. The actor who is currently locked down at his Panvel farmhouse due to Coronavirus, shot for a hilarious video that urged people to stay safe.
Salman, in the video, recreated the famous kiss scene and gave it a hilarious twist. The first half of the video had the iconic scene from Maine Pyar Kiya wherein Bhagyashree's voiceover can be heard as Salman reads a letter written by her. She bids him goodbye, leaving behind a lipstick stain on a glass wall. The scene ends with him kissing the lipstick mark. However, in the second half, Salman spots the same lipstick stain on the glass wall. Instead of kissing it, he sprays sanitiser on it and wipes it off. "If MPK releases now , happy Easter be focused n Stay strong," Salman wrote while sharing the video.
As India fights Coronavirus, Salman, through social media platforms, urged citizens to stay home and safe. He also extended financial support to 25,000 daily wage earners in the cine fraternity who are affected by the lockdown. He also transferred money into accounts of his upcoming film Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai's crew.
