The sudden outbreak of the deadly Coronavirus aka COVID-19 has brought the whole world to a standstill. With the number of COVID positives increasing at an alarming rate per day, the Central, as well as State Governments across India, announced a complete lockdown. This shutdown resulted in many losing their jobs while several are facing difficulty to afford a living without an income due to stalled work. Considering the adverse situation and the harsh conditions that daily wage employees are experiencing, Salman Khan has extended his helping hand. The actor, who deposited money into the accounts of 25,000 people in the recent past, has now come to the rescue of 50 female ground workers in Malegaon, Maharashtra.
Salman, according to the reports, got an emergency call from Malegaon. Soon, his team did proper ground research and made the arrangements for the women at the earliest. Confirming the same to an entertainment portal, the superstar's manager and spokesperson Jordy Patel told, "Salman has always been generous and responds to anyone in need genuinely... we all know that." Jordy further added that the team receives various calls for help and they have a system set up wherein the genuine ones are identified.
Salman, after providing financial help to daily wage earners in the film fraternity, contributed essential groceries to them. Politician Baba Siddique on Friday, on Twitter, thanked the actor for his contribution. "Thank you @beingsalmankhan @tweetbeinghuman for your generous contribution towards the daily wage workers. You are always one step ahead of everybody when it comes to helping people and you have proved that yet again," Siddique tweeted. Siddique also shared a few pictures of a godown and trucks filled with food supplies.
