After Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a nationwide lockdown, a video had surfaced online of Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt where they were seen walking the former’s dogs in their building compound. Many speculated that the couple has moved in together as Alia had started sharing pictures of Ranbir’s dogs on her Instagram that was usually reserved for her cats. Then came photos of Alia baking with sister Shaheen Bhatt that confused many about what is going on and whether Alia is staying with Ranbir or with Shaheen. However, now during an interview, Alia’s and Shaheen’s mother Soni Razdan has confirmed that the sisters are not staying together amid the lockdown and are living in separate houses.
During the lockdown many old and iconic serials have started their re-run, including Soni’s Buniyaad. Talking about the show’s return, Soni was asked whether her daughters are watching the show or not. To this she told the daily, “I have no idea whether they are or not. I am sure, they will. I think they will enjoy it because they both love anything which has depth. Both of them are cooking some meals, as well. Both of them are chipping in and doing a little bit they can do. It’s not a question of keeping busy, it’s doing what’s required. Everybody is doing their stuff, they are no exceptions to that.”
She further revealed what is keeping Alia and Shaheen busy and said, “Shaheen is busy writing, Alia has taken an online writing course and reading. They do their daily exercises."
On the work front, Alia will next be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi, and Mahesh Bhatt’s Sadak 2. Also, Alia will be seen sharing screen space with boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra.
