Actress Kangana Ranaut's sister Rangoli Chandel is once again in hot water for a post on Twitter. Her account on the micro-blogging website now stands suspended, though a snapshot of her original tweet that kicked off the controversy is still doing the rounds online. Rangoli reportedly posted what is being considered as hate tweets aimed at a community from her blue tick handle, @Rangoli_ , which prompted the suspension of account. This post follows Rangoli's history of sharing tweets that have been widely criticised for inciting hate.
However, she shared an official statement regarding her account being suspended that reads, “Twitter is an American platform, absolutely biased and anti-India. You can make fun of Hindu Gods, call the Prime Minister and Home Minister terrorists, but if you say anything about people pelting stones on health workers and Police forces, they suspend your account." Amidst all this, it looks like Rangoli's troubles are just increasing as the advocate Ali Kaashif Khan, who aided in getting her Twitter account suspended, has now filed a written complaint against Rangoli at Amboli Police station.
In the complaint, as reported by a portal, Ali has called out Rangoli for stooping low for cheap publicity stunt yet again. "She should first educate herself that there are many factors by which the Corona is spreading in the whole world and we all need to fight this together irrespective of religion, stop dividing the country, stop spreading hate and stop trying to get cheap publicity. I am glad to know that Twitter is taking strict action against such miscreants by suspending her account and I am hopeful that this account shall be suspended forever," his complaint read as.
For the unversed, Rangoli is an acid attack survivor who is known to take up issues on the actress's behalf on social media. She has also regularly taken on Bollywood personalities over a number of varied issues. In the past, she has fired salvos at Kangana's colleagues including Hrithik Roshan, Alia Bhatt, Taapsee Pannu, Ananya Pandey and Karan Johar.
