Watch: 'This is the time to take action,' says Shah Rukh Khan about Coronavirus in India during Lady Gaga's 'One World: Together At Home' virtual live concert

The world is currently fighting against deadly Coronavirus. The novel COVID-19 that has claimed the lives of lacs all over the globe till now, is continuing spreading its wrath. This has led to major countries like India to impose a complete lockdown to curb the impact and flatten the curve. During this fight, medical workers are working day in and out tirelessly to protect their country from the Coronavirus. Paying an ode to them and urging people to do their bit for the needy affected by the virus, Global Citizen and World Health Organization (WHO) organised a virtual concert, titled One World: Together At Home curated by Lady Gaga. The concert had Shah Rukh Khan as one of the guests. The actor, during the concert early this morning, addressed the world on behalf of India. He told that with a population of over a billion citizens, our country is bound to have a major negative impact. He further urged all to do their bit and stand in unity. Shah Rukh said the world must come together to defeat the deadly Coronavirus. 

"India is facing one of its greatest challenges, in our history. With a population of over a billion citizens, the strength of COVID-19 is bound to have a negative impact on the country. Nonetheless, it is impacting the rest of the world too. Battling this crisis is going to take us time, and this is the time to take action. Right now, I'm working with a team of people to provide protective equipment, quarantine centers, food and essentials to patients, hospitals and homes. But to beat this worldwide pandemic, the world must come together. So, find out, how you can contact World and private sector leaders, and ask them to continue to contribute to WHO's Solidarity Response Fund, so they can help to continue the hardest of areas and people who desperately need it. India, planet Earth, tonight, we are one world. I love you, stay strong," Shah Rukh said in his pre-recorded statement.

One World: Together At Home witnessed participation by Lady Gaga, Alicia Keys, Andrea Bocelli, Billie Eilish, Celine Dion, Charlie Puth, Chris Martin, Paul McCartney, Elton John, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Lupita Nyong’o, Jameela Jamil and Samuel L Jackson.
