After receiving backlash from fans, Deepika Padukone's 'mental health discussion' with WHO Director-General Dr. Tedros put on hold

Bollywood actress and mental health activist Deepika Padukone was going to team up with Dr. Tedros, director-general of the World Health Organization (WHO) to discuss the importance of mental health during the ongoing COVID-19 crises. Deepika made the announcement on Sunday on her Twitter account, sharing that she will have an Instagram Live session with Dr. Tedros on Thursday, April 23 at 7:30 PM IST. Fans were unhappy with Deepika's collaboration with Dr. Tedros who reportedly gave China a clean chit in January when they stated COVID-19 doesn't transmit human-to-human.

And now, after receiving backlash the actress took to her Instagram to share that her discussion session with Dr. Tedros has been put on hold until further notice. Her post read, "I regret to inform you that due to unforeseen and highly unavoidable circumstances the conversation, 'prioritising menal health during the pandemic and beyond' between Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General, WHO and I, schedule dor April 23rd, 2020 has been put on hold until further notice."
