Ever since Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced that the entire country will go under lockdown due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, everyone has been keeping to their homes like responsible citizens and ensuring that they maintain social distancing. Bollywood celebs too are staying indoors and spending time in quarantine and appealing to people to stay indoors and stay safe. However, a recent media report suggests that veteran actress Anita Raaj had an encounter with the cops when she was accused by her neighbours for hosting a party at her residence in Mumbai.

Anita’s neighbours filed a complaint against the actress and her husband for hosting a party for her friends amid lockdown. Apparently, the neighbours complained to the security guards who informed the police. According to the media reports, Anita and her husband Sunil Hingorani were entertaining guests at their Pali Hill residence. The neighbours were concerned about the threat it posed to their health as they feared they will be infected by COVID-19 infection. However, the actress dismissed the reports of partying at her residence amid the lockdown and stated that it was a medical emergency that her husband was tending to. She told a tabloid, “Since my husband is a doctor, one of his friends had come home for a medical emergency. His wife came with him for assistance. My husband couldn't refuse him on humanitarian grounds. After checking the situation, the cops apologized for the false complaint that was lodged with them and left immediately. "I won't behave irrationally by hosting a party in the current scenario."
