There is a God it seems at last. And indications are that Riddhima Kapoor Sahni and daughter Samara have been given permission to take a chartered flight from Delhi to Mumbai so that they might attend the funeral of the family patriarch Rishi Kapoor whenever it is held today.
Earlier the heartbreaking news was that Riddhima, who is married and settled down in Delhi, may not be able to attend the veteran actor and her father’s funeral. The Covid-19 lockdown was being insensitive to the grief of the bereaved Kapoor Khandaan and stopping her from coming. But now it seems that hurdle has been passed and Riddhima has acquired all necessary permissions to travel to Mumbai to pay her last respects and say her farewell to her Dad.

She was informed of Rishi’s passing away this morning by brother Ranbir no sooner than Rishi’s vital organs shut down and he was declared dead at the Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre. Ranbir reportedly broke down when telling Riddhima the sad news. He then connected Riddhima to Neetu Kapoor and the mother and daughter cried over the phone on each other’s shoulders.
