Bollywood's favourite chocolate boy and quintessential romantic hero Rishi Kapoor breathed his last at the age of 67. The actor was battling leukemia for the last two years and was admitted to Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital around 3 weeks ago and passed away on April 30 at 8.45 am. Now, 3 days later, the Kapoors held a prayer meet at their Bandra residence today.
A picture from the prayer meet went viral on the social media platforms featuring a shattered Neetu and Ranbir. Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, daughter of Rishi and Neetu, who couldn't attend the funeral due to Coronavirus lockdown, reached Mumbai yesterday night. She travelled by-road with her daughter Samara from Delhi.
In 2018, veteran actor Rishi was taking treatment for leukemia at a hospital in New York. Last year in September, the Chandni star along with Neetu returned to Mumbai. With tears in eyes, his family including wife Neetu Kapoor, son Ranbir Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan-Saif Ali Khan, Alia Bhatt, Abhishek Bachchan and Aadar -Armaan Jain cremated him at the Chandanwadi Crematorium post his death.
On the work front, his last film Sharmaji Namkeen is yet to be released. He had also signed Deepika Padukone's The Intern's Hindi remake.
