Amid the COVID-19 pandemic that has gripped our nation, there has been rampant circulation of fake news and misinformation on social media platforms. It not only creates panic among the citizens but also instigates violence and conflicting views. To fight this, short video app TikTok has launched a campaign 'Mat kar forward', urging everyone to not forward videos which do not have verified information.
The video has been directed by filmmaker Anurag Basu and stars Virat Kohli, Kriti Sanon, Ayushmann Khurrana, and Sara Ali Khan. The four celebs then shed light on how wrong information is as dangerous as the virus and thus, it can push people to make ill-informed choices, eroding trust and impacting communities. Hence, they request everyone to not make this virus spread anymore.

The celebs shot the videos at their home and then it was edited by Anurag. Talking about the same, the filmmaker said, "Today, we have a bigger responsibility than ever before to prevent the spread of misinformation. We all have the power to share the right information by evaluating the information we have at hand...I hope this is an awakening for everyone of how our actions can affect others today and every day."
