The alarming spread of the deadly Coronavirus has brought the world to a standstill. With lockdown imposed in countries that are majorly affected by the virus including India, people are confined to their homes. Amid this, in Mumbai, a city that is worst hit by the novel COVID-19, the Police department is leaving no stone unturned to protect the citizens. The Mumbai Police is working day in and out to ensure people don't step out unless of an emergency and have devised an interesting way to spread the word effectively. Making the most of social media, the department has been converting popular dialogues from Bollywood and Hollywood films, including web content.
The Mumbai Police intelligently molded Alia Bhatt's still from Zoya Akhtar's Gully Boy into a meme. Not just this, Chris Hemsworth's Bengali dialogue from his Netflix film Extraction was also put to creative use. Little did the makers of the iconic project The Godfather know that the 'godfather of society' will convert their poster into a 'masked' meme. Oh hello, Hermoine from Harry Potter too finds a place on their cool Instagram page. Do you remember the Stree meme?
The only mantra we need to keep #EverySTREEtSafe is not to venture out on the STREEts #TakingOnCorona #coronavirus #CoronavirusOutbreakindia #COVID19 pic.twitter.com/1JpYXXUk9Y

Coming to web content, the creative department of Mumbai Police aptly picked up stills and a short clip from shows like Netflix's Money Heist and Amazon Prime Video's Four More Shots Please. Urging people to stay home and safe, the police showed their savage side.
A huge round of applause for Mumbai Police for their incredible work on and off social media!
