Shah Rukh Khan, after the release of Zero in December 2018, is yet to make an announcement regarding his next film. Fans of the superstar are keenly awaiting his word on his upcoming silver screen appearance. It isn't a secret that Shah Rukh is in talks with Rajkumar Hirani for the past year. But neither the filmmaker nor the actor is making it official. Reports of an entertainment magazine suggest that Rajkumar had written the script of the said film keeping two heroes in mind, which is Salman Khan with Shah Rukh. However, the latter, who has unfortunately tasted failure at the box-office in the recent past, was keen on doing a solo film with the Munna Bhai franchise director. Considering the ace superstar's choice, Rajkumar is reportedly modifying the script.
"Trusted sources have revealed that the Munna Bhai franchise director originally had a two-hero project in mind that he wanted to make with SRK and Salman Khan. But Shah Rukh was reportedly keen on doing a solo-starrer, so it was back to the drawing board for the filmmaker," read the report.
Shah Rukh, after the debacle of Zero, has been considering a few interesting scripts with filmmakers like Atlee Kumar, Siddharth Anand and Raj-DK. However, none of the projects are announced as of now.
Workwise, Shah Rukh is actively producing web content under his banner Red Chillies Entertainment. His upcoming series for Netflix titled Betaal stars Viineet Singh, Aahana Kumra, Suchitra Pillai amongst others and will premiere on May 24.
