Bollywood actor Sai Gundewar, who acted in Aamir Khan’s and Anushka Sharma’s film PK and Farhan Akhtar’s and Arjun Rampal’s Rock On passed away in the US on May 10. He was suffering from brain cancer and was only 42-years-old.
Sai had gone to the US last year for treatment. Maharashtra’s Home Minister, Anil Deshmukh shared the news of the actor’s demise on social media. He expressed his grief at Sai’s passing away and wrote in Marathi, “Actor Saiprasad Gundewar, who won the hearts of the audience through popular films like PK, was defeated in his battle with cancer. With his demise, the Indian film industry has lost a talented actor. A heartfelt tribute! (sic)."

Besides working in films, Sai was also seen as a participant in the reality show MTV Splitsvilla in 2010 and also contested in the American reality show Survivor. His last film was Bazaar that had Saif Ali Khan, Chitrangda Singh, Rohan Mehra and Radhika Apte in the lead.
