Kamaal R Khan aka KRK and controversy go hand-in-hand. The actor and self-proclaimed film critic landed into trouble for making derogatory comments on social media after the death of veteran actors Irrfan and Rishi Kapoor. An FIR against him was lodged at a police station in Bandra yesterday by one of Yuva Sena's Rahul Kanal. According to reports, KRK, on April 30, a while before Rishi's death due to cancer, made a sharp and disrespectful comment on his hospitalisation and commented that he shouldn't die as wine shops are about to reopen amid Coronavirus lockdown. Regarding Irrfan, KRK, a day before his death on April 29, reportedly took a pot-shot at him on Twitter.
A senior police officer confirmed the FIR under section 294 and other provisions of the IPC act against KRK. "We have registered an FIR against Kamaal R Khan for making derogatory remarks about both the deceased actors under section 294 (punishment for obscene acts or words in public) and other provisions of the IPC," he told. As of now, KRK isn't arrested and the Police are currently looking into the matter.
Irrfan, after battling a neuroendocrine tumor for two years, breathed his last at the age of 54 on April 29. Rishi, on April 30, lost his battle against leukemia at the age of 67.
