There was no rivalry, we're not racehorses: Madhuri Dixit Nene on her bond with late Sridevi

Madhuri Dixit Nene made her debut in 1984 with Rajshri Productions’ Abodh, but it was N Chandra’s Tezaab (1988) that catapulted her into stardom. Her Eik-Doh-Teen was a trailblazer. Being one of the best actresses during her time, it was often reported that Madhuri and late legendary actress Sridevi had unsolved differences. Whether or not they were such arch-rivals in real, one will never know but now, Madhuri has spoken about Sridevi and called her a 'thorough professional'.

When asked about her rivalry with Sridevi, Madhuri said, "Sridevi was a thorough professional. She gave her whole life to her work. I have not done even a fifth of the films she had done. But there was no rivalry, we're not racehorses, so we don't think about who is going to come first."

On her upcoming projects, the actress said, "I'm doing a series with Netflix, by Dharma Productions. There's Dance Deewane also. But a lot needs to be planned. If we do start shooting, how to go about it. Once that happens, we will start work."
