Sonu Sood has been garnering applause left, right and centre for the exceptional work he has done to help migrant workers reach their home towns amid the lockdown. The actor has been trending nonstop on Twitter for his exemplary work and people have been calling ‘superhero’ and ‘the real hero’, even political leaders have been blown away by his dedication and generosity.
Today, the Maharashtra governor Bhagat Singh Koshiyari met Sonu at Raj Bhavan where the actor apprised him of the work he has been doing to help migrants amid the coronavirus-induced lockdown. The governor showered praises on Sonu for his work and assured him of his support. The Raj Bhawan issued a statement on Twitter as well that read, “Film star @SonuSood called on at Raj Bhavan, Mumbai today. Shri Sood briefed about his ongoing work to help the migrant people to reach their home states and to provide them food. Applauded his great work and assured him of his fullest support in these endeavours.”

Sonu recently airlifted a total of 177 Odia women stuck in Kerala’s Ernakulam district amid the lockdown. Reportedly, the girls had been employed in a factory in Kerala engaged in stitching an embroidery work.
Sonu has also launched a helpline wherein migrant workers can inform about their whereabouts and can ask help to reach their home towns.
