Watch: Sonu Sood sends 1000 migrant workers to Uttar Pradesh and Bihar via special trains, comes to bid them adieu on railway station

After arranging multiple buses for migrants and airlifting 177 Odia girls from Kerala, Sonu Sood has now come forward to send over 1000 migrants to Uttar Pradesh and Bihar via multiple trains. At midnight, the actor himself arrived at the railway station to personally bid goodbye to the migrant families.

Talking about the migrants leaving via trains, Sonu told a leading daily, “The trains left today from Thane to Uttar Pradesh and Bihar with the migrants travelling. We have arranged meal kits and sanitisers for all our travellers. I thank the Maharashtra Government for their support .I'm making sure to do everything in my capacity to help our migrants as they're the real heroes who're battling Covid - 19 so bravely. I've pledged to not stop until the last migrant reaches home."

The actor has ensured to arrange basic amenities for the migrants including meal kits and sanitizers during their journey. Sonu with the support of Maharashtra government helped these migrant families to go home. The migrant workers left for Bihar and Uttar Pradesh via two special trains from Thane station. Sonu has come out to be a real messiah for people stranded in different parts of the country amid lockdown. He has even launched a helpline number wherein people can contact him if they need to reach their home towns.

Sonu along with his friend Neeti Goel’s #GharBhejo initiative has come out to be a lifesaver for Indians in these trying times brought on by the Coronavirus pandemic. The actor has received praise from the Governor of Maharashtra, Governor of Punjab, CM of Odisha, CM Of Punjab, top political leaders and the film fraternity.
