Anurag Kashyap has formed his third production company Good Bad Films after Anurag Kashyap Films and Phantom Films. The director took to social media to announce his new enterprise. Sharing the new company’s logo he also shared the pictures of his new partners, Dhruv Jagasia and Akshay Thakker.
Sharing his big news, he wrote, “So here it is .. our new company @goodbadfilmsofficial . Introducing the good, the bad and the films of the @goodbadfilms on the Monday of the release of our first production #chokedpaisaboltahai on @netflix_in . @jagasiadhruv in black and white and @akshaythakker . My two pillars of support. Only thing I can’t figure out is which one of my two producers is good and who is bad .. so leaving it to you all to decide .. let’s have fun #chokedpaisaboltahai releasing June 5th (sic)."
The first film under the production banner is going to be Choked that stars Saiyami Kher and Roshan Matthew in the lead. The film is all set to premiere on Netflix on June 5. The film is based on demonetization.
Anurag’s first production house Anurag Kashyap Films was formed in 2009 and produced flicks like Udaan, That Girl in Yellow Boots, Shaitan, Gangs of Wasseypur 1 and 2 and others. He went on to partner Vikramaditya Motwane, Madhu Mantena and Vikas Bahl to form Phantom Films in 2011. The company was later picked up by Reliance Entertainment with 50 percent stake in 2015. Before parting ways in 2018, the producers produced such remarkable films like Lootera, Hasee Toh Phasee, Masaan and Queen.
