Watch: Amitabh Bachchan shares a hard-hitting short film on the plight of LGBTQ community amid Coronavirus pandemic

The ongoing Coronavirus pandemic and the lockdown has proven to be unkind and ruthless to many. While daily wage earners are struggling to earn a living, many are dying out of hunger and unemployment. Amid this, filmmaker Amit R Sharma along with Ness Wadia, writer Kanika Dhillon and producer Garima Arora collaborated to put forth the difficulty and plight of the LGBTQ section of the society. The team released a short film on the same. Supporting this cause, Amitabh Bachchan urged people to do their bit for the LGBTQ section.

The veteran actor, on his Instagram account, shared the short film. The film features a compilation of footages of transgenders who appealed to people to help in the time of crisis. The video ends with a hard-hitting fact stating, "There are no official statistics of millions of transgenders in India. As a result, they aren't getting enough food supplies and aid during the pandemic." "Dear Friend and prominent director Amit Sharma makes a short film on LGBT.. all my good wishes," Mr. Bachchan captioned the post.
