Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan completed 47 years of marital bliss today (June 3). Bollywood's ideal, iconic and highly regarded couple, Mr. and Mrs. Bachchan never failed to delight their fans with their mutual understanding and admiration for each other. Marking the special occasion and celebrating the milestone, the couple's children Shweta Bachchan Nanda and Abhishek Bachchan shared their unseen pictures on social media.
Abhishek, on Instagram, shared a beautiful click of Amitabh and Jaya. Lost in each other's eyes, they cut out a stunning picture with nothing, but love. "Happy Anniversary Ma and Pa. Love you," Abhishek captioned the unseen picture.
Shweta, on the other hand, shared a black and white picture where her parents are seen stealing away some time together. "Happy Anniversary ♥," she wrote while posting the picture.
Amitabh and Jaya tied the knot on June 3, 1973, after their film Zanjeer released. The couple worked together in films like Abhimaan, Chupke Chupke, Mili, Silsila, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham amongst several others. They welcomed their first child Shweta in 1974 and then Abhishek in 1976.
Workwise, Mr.Bachchan is gearing up for the OTT release of Shoojit Sircar's Gulabo Sitabo co-starring Ayushmann Khurrana. The film will release on June 12. Apart from that, he has Jhund, Chehre and Brahmastra on his plate. Mrs. Bachchan was last seen in Ki & Ka in a cameo.
