Sonu Sood jumps to actor Surendra Rajan's rescue amid financial crisis, assures to send him to his hometown at the earliest

In the past few months, Sonu Sood, with his philanthropic work, has won the hearts of the nation. The actor, in the wake of the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, extended his helping hand to not just migrants but to all those in need. Under the initiative Ghar Bhejo, Sonu has sent home countless migrants and people stuck in Mumbai due to the lockdown. Continuing his good deed, Sonu jumped to the rescue of veteran actor Surendra Rajan. Surendra, best remembered for his role as Maqsood Bhai, the hospital staff in Sanjay Dutt's Munna Bhai MBBS, had reportedly come to Mumbai from his hometown Satna earlier this year to shoot for a web series and is stranded due to the lockdown.

Talking about receiving help from Sonu to reach his hometown safely, Surendra heaped praise on his RRajkumar co-star and told a leading daily that people like him are rare. "Sonu Sood’s work is amazing and I am surprised that a man is working like this. One cannot do this unless he has a tremendous will to help people from within. He is doing extraordinary work and people like Sonu Sood are rare," Surendra told. According to reports, Sonu has promised Surendra to send him back to hometown before June 18.

The veteran actor further told that he is in touch with his Munnabhai MBBS co-star Sanjay and said he considers him to be like his own son. Surendra stated that he didn't ask Sanjay for help as he didn't want to rely on anyone. He revealed that a person helped him pay his house rent in Mumbai while RSS wing helped him with ration. "I could have asked him for help but I did not want to rely on anyone. One of my disciples paid Rs 45,000 for three months. I also got help from the RSS as they gave me ration," Surendra said.
