Sushant Singh Rajput’s death has left everyone shaken. However, his untimely demise has left former Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni ‘morose’. Sushant’s magnum opus has been playing the role of Dhoni in his biographical film MS Dhoni: The Untold Truth.
In an interview with a news channel, Dhoni’s manager/friend/the film’s co-producer Arun Pandey said that the death of Sushant has visibly affected the cricketer. He said, “We can’t even believe what has happened. I am not in a position to express my grief. Mahi is also very morose. Such a tragic incident. Sushant was only 34 and a prosperous career was waiting for him, I have no doubt about that. There are ups and downs in everyone’s life.”
Other sportspersons like Virat Kohli, Suresh Raina, Sachin Tendulkar, Saina Nehwal, Sania Mirza, Harbhajan Singh, Yuvraj Singh, Vijendra Singh also paid tributes to the actor.

Sushant’s portrayal of Dhoni in the Neeraj Pandey directed film started the trend of biopics in India and is one of the most flawless performances by any actor in recent times. Sushant lived the character and aced Dhoni’s helicopter shot as well as his mannerisms in the film, so much so that it was difficult to differentiate between the reel and the real.
The news of Sushant’s demise came out on Sunday. As per Mumbai Police, he was suffering from clinical depression. The actor’s final rites were performed today at Vile Parle crematorium in Mumbai. It was attended by several celebs like Shraddha Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, Varun Sharma, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Mukesh Chhabra, Pragya Kapoor, Abhishek Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor and others. Sushant is survived by his father and sisters.
