Sushant Singh Rajput's bereaved elder sister Shweta Singh Kirti, after making an appeal for help to reach India from the US, is finally at the family's Patna residence. Shweta, on Facebook, expressed concern over 7 days quarantine on arrival in India, but now, in a recent post, she told that the overall process was hassle-free for her. Shweta also informed that the family will be immersing the deceased actor's ashes today (June 18). In an emotional note, she asked Sushant's fans and well-wishers to pray for him and give him a send-off with fond memories and unconditional love. Shweta said its time to celebrate his life and give him a happy farewell.
"Reached my Patna’s home safely yesterday. Thanks to everyone who was praying and who helped in the process. It was hassle free Today we will be doing Asthi Visarjan (Ashes Immersion) for Bhai. I again want to ask all to pray for him and send him off with all the fond memories and unconditional love in your hearts. Let’s celebrate his life and give him a very loving and happy farewell," Shweta wrote in her note on Facebook.
Shweta, on Wednesday, penned a heartbreaking farewell note for her brother Sushant on Facebook. Recalling Sushant's 'twinkling eyes' and 'innocent smile', she wished people become more compassionate towards each other and love wins over hate. She said people should choose selflessness above selfishness to make the world a better place to live in.
Sushant died of suicide on June 14 and was found hanging by his househelp and friends. He was cremated by his father KK Singh and sisters on June 15 in Mumbai. Sushant was said to be in depression for the past six months.
